Talking Pedestrian Crossings
Goal of the campaign – to boost society’s attention to children’s safety on the streets and to increase Protect me campaigns visibility in media & social media.
We came up with the idea to install unique Talking pedestrian crossings near the schools in capital city Vilnius. Nor local, nor international company could offer proper technology, thus, we developed and implemented Talking pedestrian crossings from the scratch with the help of local engineer team. Two famous influencers – a rock star Marijonas Mikutavičius and well know TV host Rūta Mikelkevičiūtė – became our voices. They created their messages, alerting pedestrians to follow the safety rules while crossing the street. In total, 4 Talking pedestrian crossings were installed near schools. This innovation started to perform just as the new school year has started.
In total, throughout the September warning in the crossings were broadcasted over 70,000 times. In 24 hours, 42 publications/reports appeared in the national media. A total of over 200 publications were published, and an audience of 5.3 million was reached.
